Mayan Puzzle 1.2

As far as I see it, there are at least two reasons why you would want to get the Mind Crew-developed Mayan Puzzle game. The first reason is that you are bonkers about match three games and you spend hours and hours playing such games. The second reason is that you want to get a fun, colorful, and properly good puzzle game to play on your iPhone.

You can play the game in four different game modes, each packed with brain-busting puzzle action. The four game modes are: Classic, Time Trial, Challenge, and Marathon. Choose to play in Classic mode and you will put your match three skills to the test in 50 levels. Select Time Trial instead and you will, well, have to play against the clock obviously. In Challenge mode you will be challenged to fight the time in four levels of difficulty. And if you want the fun to never stop, you can choose Marathon mode. This is an endless style mode that goes on, and on, and on.

From an audio-visual point of view, this game is astonishing. While you play you, get to hear some Mayan-inspired music in the background, music that goes perfectly with the game’s theme. The tiles are colorful and quite good looking. When you match three tiles, you are treated with a nice animation accompanied by a nice sound effect. Even the background is amazing as it is animated. The game features 36 Mayan-themed animated backgrounds. 

If you play the game and you’re good at it, you will be rewarded; you can earn 39 achievements in all. If you play the game and you’re not that good at it, you can get a helping hand; there are hints you could use to get some help. You get free hints for two levels. After you use them up, you can purchase more.

This is a very good looking, fun to play yet challenging match three-type game. You will be hard pressed to find another game that can surpass this one.
